Kai Trump is set to compete at the 2025 The Annika, with her friend Allan Kournikova serving as her caddie for the event. The American amateur golfer earned a sponsor exemption to participate in this week’s LPGA Tour event, which features a stellar field including top players like Nelly Korda.
Allan Kournikova, the half-brother of retired Russian tennis player Anna Kournikova, is also an accomplished golfer. Born on September 22, 2004, in Russia, Allan began playing golf at the age of four. He has won several junior tournaments, including the 2015 European World Championship and the U.S. Kids World Championship in the 10-year-old division. He was also featured in the golf documentary *The Short Game*, released in 2013.
Kai Trump and Allan Kournikova have a long-standing friendship and golfing history. Growing up, they played golf together frequently. During the pre-tournament press conference for The Annika, Kai shared her thoughts about Allan being her caddie:
“I’ve been playing golf with him since I was very, very little. He’s a family friend. There is no one else I would want on the bag besides him. He obviously knows golf. He’s a great golfer.”
She added, “I thought he would be a great choice because at the same time, I also knew the game well. So if I can have a friend on the bag and a great golfer, it’s just going to make my time out there so much better.”
Kai Trump is scheduled to tee off at The Annika on Thursday, November 13. The tournament is a regular four-day event and will conclude on Sunday, November 16.

In the same press conference, Kai shared how she began her journey in golf. She revealed that she started playing golf alongside tennis at the age of two and spoke about what drives her passion for the sport:
“I started when I was two years old playing golf. I think what I loved most about golf is that it’s challenging. You’re never going to be 100%, and there is always something to work on. I think that’s what keeps bringing me back to play golf and practice golf.”
Golf runs in Kai’s family — her grandfather, Donald Trump, is also an avid golfer. Kai is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa Trump. Currently, Vanessa Trump is dating golf legend Tiger Woods; the couple publicly announced their relationship earlier this year.
