July 2, 1942 Nov. 23, 2025 FAYETTE Funeral services for Nellie McNair Stacker, 83, of Fayette, who departed this earthly life on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, in Fayette, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, at 2 p. m. at the Shiloh First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles F. Carradine officiating. Burial will follow at the Hickory Block United Methodist Church Cemetery in Union Church under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home Fayette branch. Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, from 5: 30 until 7 p. m. at the funeral home and will continue on Saturday from 1 p. m. until the time of the service at the church. Nellie McNair Stacker was born on July 2, 1942, the daughter of Alberta Colenburg McNair and Chalmus McNair Sr. She attended Liddell High School and was a caregiver to many families for over 40 years. She was a member of Shiloh First Baptist Church for over 40 years, where she served as a Mother. In her spare time, Nellie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, cooking, and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents; her eldest son, John Arthur Stacker; grandson, Terry “Pero” Tenner Jr.; son-in-law, Bobby N. Lacey; daughter-in-law, Valerie McNair; 16 siblings ten sisters and six brothers. She leaves to cherish her memories seven children, Jennifer (Terry) Tenner, Troy (Francis) Stacker, Melvin McNair, Marvin (Geraldine) Stacker, Marilyn Stacker, Kirk Stacker, and Bridget Lacey; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who she loved dearly.
