Mumbai’s First Fully Underground Metro Line-3 Set To Cut Suburban Rail Congestion By 15%
PM Modi virtually inaugurated the final 10.99-km phase of Mumbai Metro Line-3 from Acharya Atre Chowk to Cuffe Parade, completing the city’s first fully underground 33.5-km corridor. The line, set to start operations on October 9, is expected to ease suburban rail load by 15%, cut traffic by 35%, and reduce pollution while boosting connectivity and growth.
