**Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC Impressions**
*Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* is one of those rare games that feels like it has been available forever. Yet, somewhat shockingly, Warhorse Studios’ Bohemia-based role-playing game was only released in February of this year. Our own Sam Chandler gave the game a glowing review, and since then, it has been supported by two excellent DLCs of varying scale and scope.
The first DLC, *Brushes with Death*, focused on a heartfelt story quest, while *Legacy of the Forge* introduced a new home and business for Henry, allowing him to follow in his father’s footsteps as a blacksmith. It has been an excellent run, and *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* undoubtedly deserves its place alongside other big hitters of the year in the Game of the Year conversation.
But how does the latest and final DLC, *Mysteria Ecclesiae*, hold up? Expectations are high, as this is the last piece of content we will be getting for *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* — hopefully the cherry on top of a wonderful experience.

### A Dangerous Mystery at Sedletz Monastery
In *Mysteria Ecclesiae*, Henry finds himself wrapped up in a mystery as dangerous as anything he has faced to date. He is asked to accompany King Wenceslaus’ physician, Albich, to a monastery to assist in any way possible. Upon arrival, they discover the monastery has been struck by a mysterious illness, raising fears that it might be the plague.
While Albich and others focus on the daunting task of caring for those affected by the mysterious disease, Henry must explore the monastery, delve into the lives of its inhabitants, and uncover secrets and sins that no one wants revealed.

### A New Setting with Unique Challenges
This DLC takes place on a brand-new map dedicated to Sedletz monastery. Once the adventure begins, you remain there until it concludes — there is no option to dive back into the main world map until the story is wrapped up.
Things are different inside the monastery. Upon arrival, Henry’s armor and weapons are taken from him. This is primarily because King Sigismund of Luxembourg is currently residing there, and resources are scarce and tightly controlled.
The monastery itself is beautifully designed and, as expected from the series, feels genuine and authentic. Dominated by a massive chapel, the complex features areas where monks sleep, eat, pray, and tend to gardens for growing food. Vast cellars stretch beneath the structure, filled with countless nooks and crannies perfect for exploration.

### New Characters and Deep Interactions
* Mysteria Ecclesiae* introduces a diverse new cast of characters. You will spend significant time interacting with them, making new friends and enemies while trying to determine whom to trust.
True to *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s* reputation, conversations are deep, heartfelt, and sometimes even humorous. Henry remains the star of the show, offering ample opportunity to develop his character, explore different dialogue routes, and highlight his nature as a deeply caring and thoughtful individual.
Quests and side missions frequently touch on the everyday lives of monastery inhabitants. You’ll often find moments to express genuine concern or kindness, something often lacking within the monastery’s rigid social structure. Earning the trust of others feels rewarding, but playing the story missions in a manner that justifies that trust is even more fulfilling.

### Plenty to Discover and Collect
Alongside the rich narrative, *Mysteria Ecclesiae* offers plenty of new items, including a new sword, armor pieces, and a unique mask. You can also brew new alchemical potions and discover hidden skill books scattered throughout the monastery.
These additions provide a wealth of content that you can carry forward into your ongoing playthrough of the main game.

### A Fitting Farewell to Henry’s Journey
*Mysteria Ecclesiae* serves as a fitting final installment in Henry’s adventure. It features meaningful choices, engaging gameplay, and a compelling mystery that can be played at any time during your run through *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
Once again, Henry proves to be one of the best protagonists in gaming today — a man born a peasant yet lucky enough to glimpse more of the world than most, and who continues to hope for the best for those around him.

### Final Thoughts
The only downside to *Mysteria Ecclesiae* is that it marks the end of the line for *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Now, fans can only hope for a third installment that matches the fun, intrigue, and heart that Warhorse Studios packed into this chapter.
