Ricky Pearsall remains out of practice; Bryce Huff returns to limited work

San Francisco 49ers Update: Injury Report and Practice Notes

Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall remained out of practice on Wednesday, continuing to recover from a knee injury sustained in Week 4. According to head coach Kyle Shanahan, “It’s just the same as what I said last week. No setback. Just taking longer to heal than we thought.” Pearsall has yet to step onto the field since the injury.

Quarterback Brock Purdy also had his 10th consecutive limited practice session after aggravating a turf toe injury in Week 4. Meanwhile, Mac Jones is expected to make his eighth start of the season. Despite being listed with injuries to both knees, Jones participated fully in practice on Wednesday. He has been dealing with a knee injury and an oblique strain over the past four weeks, as noted in previous injury reports.

The 49ers practiced without defensive end Mykel Williams, who unfortunately tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season while on injured reserve.

Several other players were limited in practice:

– Linebacker Tatum Bethune (thigh)
– Center Jake Brendel (hamstring)
– Defensive end Bryce Huff (hamstring), who has missed the past two games
– Linebacker Dee Winters (knee)

On a positive note, offensive lineman Ben Bartch (ankle) was a full participant in practice for the first time since returning last week.

The team continues to manage its roster carefully as key players recover, aiming to maintain competitive performance as the season progresses.
