Ja Rule shares his thoughts on Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s ongoing rivalry

**Ja Rule Weighs In on the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar Beef**

In a recent interview on Carmelo Anthony’s *7PM in Brooklyn* podcast, Ja Rule shared his thoughts on the ongoing feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. The conversation, which took place on November 10, delved into the culture of hip-hop and the impact of rivalries within the genre.

Ja Rule expressed a cautious view of the Drake-Kendrick feud, stating, “You look at Kendrick and Drake, nothing good is coming out of any of these things.” He drew a comparison to his own longstanding rivalry with 50 Cent, which he claims “f*cked up New York hip-hop.” The decades-old feud between Ja Rule and 50 Cent has seen both artists continuing to exchange verbal jabs over the years.

When asked if he had any advice for Drake, Ja Rule was quick to dismiss the idea. “Why I gotta advise Drake? Why can’t I advise Kendrick? Drake don’t need no advice. Drake is rich, got a big a** plane. Have you seen his plane? What we talking about Drake for, man? That ni**ga chilling, man.” He went further to praise Drake, likening the Toronto rapper’s career to that of Michael Jackson, calling his run in music “unprecedented,” much like the King of Pop himself.

**Ja Rule Claims He Outraps 50 Cent**

During the podcast, Ja Rule also revisited his rivalry with 50 Cent while discussing the Kendrick and Drake beef. Despite the ongoing tension, he expressed respect for both Kendrick Lamar and Drake, emphasizing that competition is an inherent part of hip-hop culture. However, he encouraged fans not to let these rivalries divide them.

“Fans are often compelled to choose sides,” Ja Rule explained, “but it’s better if they appreciate the contributions that each artist brings and celebrate artistry over allegiance.”

While advocating for mutual respect among artists, Ja Rule confidently stated that he believes he “outraps 50 Cent.” He claimed, “I feel like I was the better rapper. I felt like I made the better records—I feel like my records aged better, still.” That said, he acknowledged he wasn’t sure if others shared this view.

Reflecting on recent rap conflicts like the Kendrick-Drake feud, Ja Rule reiterated his stance against promoting negativity. Although he takes shots at 50 Cent occasionally, he said he wishes him luck but urged him to stop taking digs at other Black people.

Despite the push for positivity, Ja Rule shot down any possibility of collaborating with 50 Cent. “We have never done a record together and we were never friends, so I’m confused why people want to see us working together,” he said.
